Do you Want to Discuss Corporate Governance at a European Level?

Professional directors face a multitude of challenges when working on boards of directors in Europe and elsewhere. Increasingly those challenges arise from decisions made at an EU level: hard law or self regulation through Comply or Explain, shareholders' rights and duties, executive remuneration. These are some of the issues currently being discussed at the EU level.

Organizing events in Brussels is always important for us at ecoDa. It gives us a chance to publicize our opinions and to debate them with those of the other stakeholders. Our experts, the independent directors of Europe, enhance and deepen the Corporate Governance discussion with their up-to-date experiences from boards of listed and unlisted companies. Should you wish to involve our experts in your own events, please contact us.

An ecoDa event is one example of our many ways of communicating directly with the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council. These events also echo our recommendations for better boardroom practices to a larger audience. As all our events are rich sources of information, we draft wrap-up reports from the discussions. Have a look at our Policy and Position Papers section and explore those reports.

ecoDa has long been active in debating topical Corporate Governance issues. We have debates at our annual conferences and also on panel sessions dealing with specific items. However we do not just organize events ourselves. We also welcome co-organizing events with partners and peer organizations. If you wish to be involved in our events (as a speaker or a co-organizer) or if you simply want to participate, please let us know.

On the left, you can find more information on our future and past events as well as on the events organized by our members. Moreover, we also inform you on some relevant Corporate Governance discussions that are taking place in Europe.

Join us at our events or contact us to explore a future cooperation!
